Azerbaijan Army Conducts Computer-Assisted Command-Staff Exercise

Baku:A computer-assisted command-staff exercise is being held within the Azerbaijan Army as part of the 2026 training plan, as reported by the Ministry of Defense.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the exercise includes personnel from the main departments and the Ministry of Defense, alongside troops and forces from the Combined Arms Army headquarters. The activities are designed to align with the military decision-making process.

On November 3, Defense Minister Colonel General Zakir Hasanov received reports from the headquarters through a video teleconference. The Minister highlighted that President Ilham Aliyev, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, expressed his appreciation for the Army’s performance and communicated the tasks assigned to them.

The exercise is aimed at enhancing the military decision-making skills of command personnel and providing practical training for military units. It considers combat experience gained from addressing modern military threats and utilizes simulators to improve capabilities and operational effectiveness.
