Baku: President Ilham Aliyev has signed an order approving the ‘State Program for 2027-2032 on Ensuring Food Safety in the Republic of Azerbaijan,’ APA reports. The program outlines a comprehensive plan aimed at bolstering the nation’s food security over the next five years.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Cabinet of Ministers is tasked with resolving issues that arise from the order, ensuring that the program’s objectives are met efficiently. The Food Safety Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan will coordinate the measures outlined in the program and oversee their implementation. This agency is also responsible for reporting annually to the President on the progress and status of these measures.
The Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication will handle the monitoring and evaluation of the program’s implementation at the request of the Food Safety Agency. This ensures that the objectives are being met and allows for adjustments as necessary to stay on course.
In terms of financial support, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Economy, in cooperation with the Food Safety Agency, are instructed to allocate the necessary financial resources. These efforts will be part of the annual preparation of the state budget and investment programs, highlighting the government’s commitment to securing the required funding for the program’s success.
