Baku: Azerbaijan’s Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov recently engaged in discussions with a World Bank delegation led by Asad Alam, the Regional Director for Prosperity in the Europe and Central Asia Region. The meeting focused on sustainable economic growth and employment issues, as reported by APA-Economics.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the discussions provided a platform to exchange views on the priorities for the draft “2027-2030 Social and Economic Development Strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan.” Key areas of focus included improving the business environment, promoting sustainable and inclusive economic growth, and enhancing employment opportunities.
Mikayil Jabbarov highlighted on his X account that the meeting also involved reviewing the outcomes of analytical work on international best practices in entrepreneurship development. The parties considered adapting research-based approaches to stimulate private sector advancement in Azerbaijan.
