Accra:A delegation from Azerbaijan, led by Javanshir Nuriyev, Head of the Office of the State Tax Service, visited Uzbekistan to discuss expanding bilateral cooperation in taxation and sharing digital tax administration experiences.
According to Azeri-Press news agency, discussions with the Tax Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan focused on a potential pilot project for cross-border electronic document exchange. The project aims to establish a mechanism for the automatic verification of electronic digital signatures, facilitating the formalization of documents in mutual trade.
The Azerbaijani delegation was introduced to Uzbekistan’s digital solutions in tax administration. Both sides also exchanged insights on taxation methodology and the application of international best practices. A protocol was signed to continue the cooperation on these issues.
