Baku: Azerbaijan and Ukraine engaged in political consultations as Jeyhun Bayramov, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, met with Oleksandr Mischenko, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan announced the meeting, where both parties addressed current cooperation issues and regional situations.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the discussions highlighted the importance of both nations’ consistent positions on sovereignty, territorial integrity, and border inviolability. The conversations also emphasized the mutual respect and adherence to international law principles that underpin their relations.
The Ukrainian delegation expressed gratitude for Azerbaijan’s support in reconstructing and rehabilitating Ukraine’s conflict-affected areas, as well as for the humanitarian aid extended to Ukrainians.
The meeting also included an exchange of views on various regional and global issues of mutual interest. On the same day, further political consultations took place between the foreign ministries of Azerbaijan and Ukraine, led by Deputy Minister Samir Sharifov from Azerbaijan and Oleksandr Mischenko from Ukraine.
