Baku: Azerbaijan and Tajikistan have formally approved a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at enhancing cooperation in the field of statistics. This agreement, titled ‘Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Field of Statistics between the State Statistical Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Statistics Agency under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan,’ marks a significant step towards collaborative statistical efforts between the two nations.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the MoU received official approval following a Decree signed by President Ilham Aliyev. The decree outlines that once the Memorandum comes into force, the State Statistical Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan will be responsible for implementing its provisions. Additionally, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan is tasked with notifying the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan upon the completion of necessary internal procedures to activate the MoU.
