Azerbaijan and Poland Sign Roadmap to Enhance Metrological Cooperation

Baku:A significant Roadmap was signed between the Azerbaijan Metrology Institute (AzMI) and Poland’s Central Office of Measures (GUM) to foster collaboration in measurement uniformity and expand joint activities. This agreement aims to enhance cooperation in various new areas.

According to Azeri-Press news agency, the document was signed by AzMI Director General Khamis Seyranov and GUM President Rafal Kepka. It outlines several key initiatives, including the study of measurement standards through comparisons, participation in international interlaboratory comparisons, and the exchange of experience in quality management systems.

The Roadmap also plans to cover a wide range of technical fields such as acoustics, ultrasound and vibration, mass and related quantities, length, time and frequency, flow, electricity and magnetism, photometry and radiometry, ionizing radiation, and chemistry. Additionally, it addresses the exchange of knowledge on accessing electronic certificates and reports, digital calibration certificates, and utilizing artificial intelligence for uncertainty assessment.

The agreement builds on a previously signed Memorandum on Scientific and Technical Cooperation between AzMI and GUM, aiming to translate this into practical applications and ensure its implementation.
