New york city: Azerbaijan and Pakistan have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening their strategic partnership during a significant meeting between Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammad Ishaq Dar. The meeting took place during Bayramov’s working visit to New York City.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the discussions focused on the current state and future prospects of the strategic partnership between the two nations. Both ministers expressed satisfaction with the high level of political dialogue and explored opportunities to expand cooperation across various sectors, including economy, trade, energy, transport, defense industry, and humanitarian spheres.
The meeting also highlighted Azerbaijan’s hosting of the World Urban Forum (WUF13), where a high-level Pakistani delegation actively participated. The ministers noted the importance of this collaboration and welcomed the continued progress of Azerbaijan-Pakistan relations within regional and international frameworks.
Furthermore, the discussions extended to alignment and joint efforts across multilateral platforms such as the United Nations and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation. The ministers also exchanged views on regional security dynamics, the situation in the Middle East, and other international matters of mutual concern.
