Azerbaijan and Pakistan Approve Memorandum on Customs Data Exchange


Baku: A Memorandum of Understanding aimed at establishing preliminary electronic data exchange between the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Customs Service (Federal Board of Revenue) of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan has been approved. President Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree formalizing this agreement, APA reports.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the decree mandates that the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan must ensure the implementation of the Memorandum’s provisions. Additionally, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan is tasked with informing the Government of Pakistan about the completion of necessary internal procedures required for the Memorandum to come into effect.



The “Memorandum of Understanding on the Establishment of Initial Electronic Data Exchange Between the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Customs Service of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan (Federal Board of Revenue)” was initially signed on February 24, 2025, in Baku.
