Baku:The President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, expressed interest in exploring specific investment projects offered by Laos to Azerbaijani investors. This announcement was made during joint statements with Thongloun Sisoulith, the President of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic.
According to Azeri-Press news agency, President Aliyev highlighted the successful development of political cooperation between Azerbaijan and Laos, noting a desire to see similar progress in economic relations. He pointed out that the current trade turnover does not reflect the full potential of their economic partnership.
The Azerbaijani leader emphasized that if Laos presents specific projects, they would be considered by Azerbaijani investors. He noted that Azerbaijan’s overseas investments are growing annually, benefiting host countries by providing financial resources and creating new job opportunities.
