Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan Presidents Meet to Strengthen Strategic Partnership


Astana: President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev held a one-on-one meeting with President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in Astana, focusing on strengthening the strategic partnership and allied relations between the two countries.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Tokayev expressed his honor and pleasure in welcoming President Aliyev on an official state visit to Kazakhstan. He emphasized the importance of the event in further fortifying the relationship between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan, highlighting that the two nations are not only friendly states but also brotherly peoples. President Tokayev stated that fostering economic and political cooperation is an urgent task, acknowledging Azerbaijan’s strengthened international position under President Aliyev’s leadership.



President Aliyev, in response, conveyed his gratitude for the invitation and hospitality extended by President Tokayev. He expressed admiration for Kazakhstan’s socio-economic development and international standing under President Tokayev’s guidance. President Aliyev reaffirmed the strategic and allied nature of the bilateral relations and emphasized the focus on enhancing cooperation across various sectors. During their discussions, both leaders reviewed the extensive agenda and outlined further steps to strengthen their partnership.
