Azerbaijan and Israel Discuss Strengthening Economic Cooperation During Joint Commission Meeting


Baku: Azerbaijani Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov led a delegation on a working visit to Israel, APA-Economics reports. During the visit, a series of meetings were held with Israeli officials, and discussions were held on strengthening bilateral cooperation.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, at a meeting with Zeev Elkin, the Minister and co-chair of the Joint Commission between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the State of Israel, held at Israel’s Ministry of Finance, it was emphasized that relations with Israel are developing positively across various sectors. The parties exchanged views on the activities of the Joint Commission, prospects for bilateral economic relations, and realizing the potential of business partnerships.



During a meeting with Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar, both sides expressed satisfaction with the expansion of bilateral relations and economic-trade cooperation between the two countries. They shared views on further strengthening mutual economic relations and the prospects of joint projects for their countries and the region. Azerbaijan’s favorable geoeconomic position and its growing transit potential in global trade were also highlighted.



Within the framework of the working visit to the State of Israel, Minister of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mikayil Jabbarov held a meeting with Zeev Elkin, Minister at Israel’s Ministry of Finance and Co-Chairman of the Azerbaijan-Israel Joint Commission. In an X post, Jabbarov stated, “We exchanged views on the activities of the Joint Commission, the prospects for advancing bilateral economic relations, and the effective realization of the existing business partnership potential,” APA reports.
