Baku: Azerbaijan and Iran held a ceremony to exchange documents signed between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Islamic Republic of Iran, with the participation of Ilham Aliyev, President of Azerbaijan, and Masoud Pezeshkian, President of Iran.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the ceremony saw the signing of a Joint Statement by the Presidents of both countries. Additionally, Foreign Ministers Jeyhun Bayramov of Azerbaijan and Seyed Abbas Araghchi of Iran exchanged the “Program of Political Consultations” for the years 2025-2027.
Furthermore, the Minister of Digital Development and Transport of Azerbaijan, Rashad Nabiyev, and the Minister of Roads and Urban Development of Iran, Ms. Farzaneh Sadegh, exchanged two Memorandums of Understanding. These included comprehensive cooperation in the transport sector for 2025-2026 and the mutual recognition of maritime certificates according to international standards.
Minister of Culture of Azerbaijan Adil Karimli and Iran’s Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts, Seyed Reza Salehi Amiri, exchanged a program for cultural exchange spanning from 2025 to 2028.
Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Shahin Mustafayev and Iran’s Minister of Roads and Urban Development, Ms. Farzaneh Sadegh, also exchanged a memorandum on media cooperation, further strengthening the bilateral relations between the two nations.
