The energy dialogue between Azerbaijan and the European Union (EU) will be held on May 2 in Brussels, the Directorate General for Energy of the European Commission (EC) reports. “On May 2, European Commissioner for Energy Kadri Simson will hold an energy dialogue between the European Union and Azerbaijan with Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov in Brussels,” the message says. It notes that in Brussels, the parties will sum up the results of cooperation between the EU and Azerbaijan in the energy sector and discuss its promotion. In particular, the EU and Azerbaijan will exchange views on the situation with gas supplies, discuss the expansion of the Southern Gas Corridor (SGC), cooperation on the transition to “clean energy”, the EC reports. Representatives of the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) will also take part in the Energy Dialogue.
