Astrakhan: Rahman Mustafayev, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Russia, met with Igor Babushkin, Governor of the Astrakhan Region of the Russian Federation, to discuss the prospects for cooperation. Babushkin emphasized Azerbaijan’s role as a key partner for the Astrakhan Region.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Babushkin highlighted that in the first six months of the year, fish exports to Azerbaijan increased by 5%. Additionally, there has been growth in the export volumes of vegetables and flour products. Both parties view the enhancement of transport infrastructure as crucial to further increasing trade volume.
The discussions also placed significant emphasis on cultural collaboration, alongside economic cooperation. The parties expressed their commitment to continue joint efforts towards developing comprehensive cooperation and implementing joint projects on mutually beneficial terms.
