Azerbaijan Allocates 214 Million Manats for International Events in 2025


Baku: A total of 213.6 million manats from Azerbaijan’s state budget were used to organize both international and national-level events in the country in 2025, as reported by APA-Economics. This expenditure was outlined in the ‘Report on the activities of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2025,’ which was reviewed during a session of the Milli Majlis.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the allocated funds supported a variety of events, including the Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix, the World Telecommunication Development Conference, the 12th Global Baku Forum, the 3rd Shusha Global Media Forum, and the Third National Urban Planning Forum. Additional events receiving funding were the 8th ‘Kharibulbul’ International Folklore Festival and the 7th International Mugham Festival ‘Mugham World.’ These funds were also directed toward preparations for the 13th session of the World Urban Forum, set to be held in Baku in 2026, and activities related to Azerbaijan’s presidency of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29).



The report further detailed that 12.6 million manats were designated for international activities and other events, while 11.4 million manats covered foreign aid expenditures. Additionally, 181.9 million manats were committed to financing Azerbaijan’s share in the charter capital of international investment and development funds, of which the country is a co-founder.
