Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan, Head of Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmat Hajiyev has been awarded the “Dostyk” Order of grade II of Kazakhstan, the country’s embassy told APA.
It was noted that Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev awarded Hikmat Hajiyev the “Dostyk” Order of grade II.
Kazakh Ambassador to Azerbaijan Alim Bayel presented the Supreme Order to presidential assistant on behalf of and the instructions of his country’s President.
The diplomat said that Hikmat Hajiyev was awarded the Order for the recognition of his contributions to the development of friendly neighborly relations between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Azerbaijan, and to the strengthening of strategic and alliance relations between the two countries.
Hikmat Hajiyev expressed his gratitude to the leadership of Kazakhstan for the high value given to his activity and emphasized that he will do his utmost to continue to contribute to the development of comprehensive strategic cooperation.
During the meeting, the sides discussed bilateral mutual cooperation and topical issues on the regional agenda.
