Armenian Minister Announces Arrival of Azerbaijani Fuel-Loaded Train

Ayrum: Armenia announced on Friday that the first shipment of Azerbaijani fuel is entering the country via neighboring Georgia. Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan wrote on his social media account that a train of 22 wagons carrying 1,220 tons of Azerbaijani-origin A95 gasoline is currently crossing the border with Georgia. He said the train is entering Armenia through the railway station in the town of Ayrum.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, this event marks a significant trade and economic transaction between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Minister Papoyan highlighted that this could be the first such transaction not only after the peace established between the two countries but also after their independence. This development may signal a new chapter in the relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, potentially paving the way for further cooperation.
