Anglo Asian Mining Faces Potential Acquisition by ACG Metals Limited

London: Anglo Asian Mining (AAM), a gold, copper, and silver mining company operating in Azerbaijan, could potentially be acquired by British firm ACG Metals Limited. This development was confirmed by the mining company in a statement to APA-Economics.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, ACG Metals Limited announced on November 26 that it is considering acquiring all existing and future ordinary share capital of AAM. Despite this announcement, no formal offer has been made to AAM regarding the potential acquisition.

Official procedures require ACG Metals to either submit a formal offer by December 24, 2025, or declare its intention not to proceed with the acquisition. The deadline can only be extended with the approval of the UK Mergers and Acquisitions Control Panel.

In response to widespread market speculation and unusual share price movements, Anglo Asian Mining requested the AIM platform of the London Stock Exchange to suspend trading of its ordinary shares on November 26. Trading is anticipated to resume on November 27 following an official announcement.

AAM has advised its shareholders to refrain from taking any action at this juncture. ACG Metals Limited is a British Virgin Islands registered company engaged in the extraction and processing of metals, including gold, copper, and silver, and is involved in regional mining projects, including those in Trkiye.
