Baku: ‘Expanding cooperation in tourism is one of the key areas. Increasing mutual tourist flows between Azerbaijan and Japan, strengthening cultural ties, and implementing joint projects will give impetus to the further development of relations,’ Katsuya Watanabe, Japanese Ambassador to Azerbaijan, told journalists.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the ambassador noted that tourism serves both as an economic driver and a bridge for mutual understanding between peoples. In this regard, plans are underway to establish ties between tourism companies, increase the number of direct flights, and organize joint cultural events.
“Both countries boast a rich history and cultural heritage. Effectively harnessing this potential could help boost Azerbaijan-Japan relations, taking them to a new level,” he added.
