Baku: “An airport is being built in the Alat Free Economic Zone,” stated Valeh Alasgarov, Chairman of the Board of Alat Free Economic Zone (AFEZ), during the international conference “Pharmaceutical Industry of Azerbaijan: Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow” held in Baku.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Valeh Alasgarov emphasized that the Alat Free Economic Zone is strategically positioned at the crossroads of international transport corridors. Initially, the plan was for the airport to be used solely for cargo transport. However, this decision has now evolved. Once the airport is completed, it will not only handle cargo but will also offer favorable conditions to investors.
