Bonn: Tahir Khalilov, Acting Chairman of the United Water Supply Services of Large Cities, and Riad Akhundzade, Head of the Strategy, International Cooperation, and Science Department of the Azerbaijan State Water Resources Agency (ADSEA), participated in the 6th Global Water Operators’ Partnerships Congress in Bonn, Germany.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, during the congress, Tahir Khalilov emphasized the necessity of international collaboration and knowledge sharing in the field of water management. He pointed out Azerbaijan’s achievements in urban planning and sustainable development, highlighting the upcoming 13th World Urban Forum (WUF13) scheduled to take place in Baku in 2026.
At a side event accompanying the congress, Riad Akhundzade shared comprehensive details regarding initiatives to enhance water supply and wastewater services in Azerbaijan, while also discussing the anticipated WUF13 in Baku.
Moreover, there was a meeting with the Global Water Operators’ Partnerships Alliance (GWOPA) to explore future cooperation prospects and opportunities for collaborative projects in the water sector.
