ADB Allocates $5.5 Billion to Azerbaijan, Focuses on Green Energy Development


Baku: The Asian Development Bank has so far allocated 5.5 billion US dollars in financial resources to Azerbaijan, said Asian Development Bank (ADB) Country Director for Azerbaijan Sunnia Durrani-Jamal at the 13th International Caspian Energy Forum, APA-Economics reports.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, more than 4 billion dollars of the mentioned financial resources went to the public sector, and 1.2 billion dollars to the private sector. Sunnia Durrani-Jamal also noted that over the course of more than 25 years of cooperation, the ADB has allocated funds to Azerbaijan for the development of various sectors, and currently, the development of “green energy” is being considered as one of the promising areas.
