Baku: Abbas Abbasov, Executive Director of the Baku Initiative Group, highlighted the well-documented human tragedies in Central African countries during his speech at an international conference on Belgian colonialism held in Baku. He emphasized the importance of acknowledging these historical facts and urged the global community to consider them seriously, noting that such events cannot be erased from history.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Abbasov also pointed out that colonial policies are still ongoing. He expressed concern that some parties are attempting to divert attention away from longstanding reparation demands and confrontations that deserve international focus.
