A preferential loan has been granted to expand the area of gardens in Gusar

Ayaz Alekperov, an individual entrepreneur, has been extended a preferential loan of 615 thousand manats by the Entrepreneurship Development Fund, a division under the aegis of the Ministry of Economy. The funds are earmarked for an ambitious horticulture development endeavor, as articulated by Minister Mikail Jabbarov. Jabbarov elaborated that the upcoming initiative is slated to take root within the confines of the Gusar district. The strategic undertaking is projected to yield the creation of 21 fresh employment opportunities. The geographic jurisdiction of the Gusar district encompasses the expansive Guba-Khachmaz economic domain, which envelops Devechinsky, Khachmaz, Guba, and Siyazansky districts. Within this locale, the primary economic focus pivots around agriculture. Notably, the aggregate expanse of cultivable land in this district spans 81,460 hectares. Out of this area, approximately 34,403 hectares, constituting 42.2%, are dedicated to crop cultivation. Moreover, the irrigated land coverage encompasses 29,398 hectares. The agricultural produce of the district encompasses staple crops like wheat, barley, corn, beans, potatoes, as well as a diverse assortment of horticultural products such as apples, pears, nuts, tomatoes, and cabbage. The district has allocated a substantial 5,000 hectares for orchards, with apple orchards constituting an impressive 68% of this space
