Baku:Approximately 800 Azerbaijani students are currently enrolled in Hungarian universities, as stated by Hungarian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Tamás Torma during the ‘Study in Europe’ exhibition in Baku.

According to Azeri-Press news agency, the ambassador highlighted that this number reflects the strong academic and cultural ties between Azerbaijan and Hungary.

Ambassador Torma explained that these students are primarily engaged in studies in fields such as engineering, business, and information technologies. Hungarian universities provide high-quality education programs in English, along with advanced research opportunities and internationally recognized diplomas.

The ambassador also pointed out that academic cooperation is particularly strong in the sectors of agriculture and pharmaceuticals, citing partnerships between the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences and Azerbaijan State Agricultural University, as well as the University of Pécs and Azerbaijan Medical University.

In addition to academic endeavors, Hungarian language courses are offered at Azerbaijan University of Languages, facilitating cultural exchange between students from the two nations.
