The 7th Meeting of the Asia Pacific Parliamentarian Forum (APPF) on Global Health will be held in Ulaanbaatar on August 21-23. It is organized by Mongolia’s Parliament, World Health Organization and the Ministry of Health of Mongolia. The event is held under theme “Building primary health care for the future”. This forum will be chaired by Speaker of the Mongolian Parliament Zandanshatar Gombozhav. Unequal access to primary health care in the region continues to negatively affect health care spending. Last year’s regular conference agreed on the need to update and transform the policy of providing primary health care services to their citizens. Then the strategic document on the future of primary health care services in the Western Pacific Rim was approved. 28 countries are full members of the APPF.
