Baku: 22 graduates of Baku Engineering University (BEU) have earned the right to study within the framework of the “State Program for Youth Education at Prestigious Higher Education Institutions of Foreign Countries for 2022-2028,” approved by Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the results of the State Program for the 2026/2027 academic year show that out of 353 individuals who earned the right to study at the master’s level at prestigious foreign institutions, 20 are BEU graduates. Additionally, 2 out of the 22 individuals who earned the right to study at the doctoral level are BEU alumni.
Of the BEU graduates participating in the State Program, 14 will study in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, 6 in the United States of America, 1 in Italy, and 1 in Finland.
The 2027 QS World University Rankings indicate that 2 of these institutions rank among the world’s top ten, 3 among the top twenty, and 17 among the top hundred.
The graduates will continue their studies at renowned universities such as the University of Cambridge, University College London (UCL), Columbia University, University of Edinburgh, and others. Their fields of study include computer science, artificial intelligence, data science, cybersecurity, software engineering, and other priority areas.
The State Program aims to create opportunities for young people to study at prestigious institutions globally, shaping highly qualified human capital with innovative thinking that meets international labor market demands and contributes to Azerbaijan’s socio-economic development.
