Sumgayit: A mass poisoning incident occurred at a textile factory in Sumgayit, affecting 19 individuals, reports APA. Emergency medical services were promptly dispatched to the factory to address the situation.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Management Union of Medical Territorial Units (TABIB) responded to an inquiry, stating that beginning at around 4:05 PM on April 21, 19 people, including 16 women and 3 men, were admitted to the Infectious Diseases Department of City Hospital No. 1, part of the Sumgayit Medical Center. The individuals were diagnosed with unconfirmed bacterial food poisoning and received necessary medical treatment.
Currently, 14 of the affected individuals are undergoing further treatment. Meanwhile, five individuals, who were deemed to be in satisfactory condition, have been discharged and sent home for outpatient care.
