Baku: The Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) field has seen a significant increase in the volume of associated gas supplied to the state of Azerbaijan, with deliveries rising by more than 30% during the first half of 2026. During this period, ACG supplied approximately 2 billion cubic metres of associated gas to the state, according to BP’s report on its operations in Azerbaijan for the first half of the year.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the report highlights that ACG delivered an average of about 11 million cubic metres of associated gas per day. The majority of this gas was sent to the Sangachal Terminal, with a portion also delivered to SOCAR’s Oil Rocks facility. The report further notes that the remainder of the associated gas was re-injected to maintain reservoir pressure.
Part of the associated gas produced at ACG is supplied to SOCAR at no cost. The ownership structure of ACG includes BP as the operator with a 30.37% stake, followed by AzACG (SOCAR) holding 35.3%, MOL with 9.57%, Inpex at 9.31%, ExxonMobil owning 6.79%, TPAO with 5.73%, and ONGC Videsh Ltd. (OVL) possessing 2.92%.
