Virgin Atlantic Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Baku Due to Passenger Health Issue


Baku: A Virgin Atlantic aircraft, en route from London to Delhi, made an emergency landing at Heydar Aliyev International Airport after a passenger experienced a sudden health emergency.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the incident occurred on February 8, when the flight crew requested the landing to ensure the passenger received immediate medical attention. The Airbus A350 touched down safely at 21:26 local time.

Upon landing, the passenger was swiftly attended to by the airport’s medical services, and essential medical procedures are currently underway. The airport maintained full coordination with relevant authorities, adhering strictly to international aviation and safety protocols. Ensuring the safety and well-being of passengers remains a top priority, with all necessary operations executed efficiently.
