Baku: President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has sent a congratulatory letter to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, Trend reports.
According to Trend News Agency, the letter from President Mirziyoyev expressed his pleasure upon learning about the Joint Declaration signed in Washington by Ilham Aliyev, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, and the President of the United States Donald Trump. President Mirziyoyev emphasized that this document is a testament to President Aliyev’s persistent efforts and political determination to restore Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, as well as to foster lasting peace and development in the South Caucasus.
The letter further commended the progress achieved under Aliyev’s leadership towards a peace treaty between Azerbaijan and Armenia, highlighting the pride felt in Azerbaijan’s accomplishments during challenging times.
