Baku: A delegation from Uzbekistan, which included members from the National Agency for Social Protection under the President of Uzbekistan, embarked on a comprehensive tour of the Agency for Sustainable and Operative Social Provision (DOST) under Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population. They visited DOST Centers No. 1 and 4, as well as the DOST Center for Inclusive Development and Creativity.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, during their visit to DOST Center No. 1, the Uzbek delegation was briefed on the center’s operations and activities, particularly the ‘Volunteer DOST’ program. The program is designed to engage volunteers in the center’s activities, enhancing the support and services provided to the community.
At the DOST Center for Inclusive Development and Creativity, the delegation had the opportunity to observe creative masterclasses. These sessions involved both volunteers and beneficiaries, showcasing the center’s dedication to inclusive development through creativity and volunteer engagement.
The tour also included a visit to DOST Center No. 4, where the Uzbek officials were introduced to the DOST TV studio. They received information about the agency’s media and communication efforts, which play a crucial role in disseminating information and raising awareness about the agency’s activities and programs.
Throughout the two-day visit, bilateral meetings were held with representatives from various departments of the DOST Agency. These meetings provided a platform for discussing expertise-sharing and exploring prospects for future cooperation between the Uzbek delegation and the Azerbaijani agency. Adaptation training sessions for volunteers were also part of the agenda, aiming to enhance the skills and knowledge of the volunteers involved.
