Baku: A US Alumni Fair has been organized in Baku through the joint efforts of the US Embassy in Azerbaijan, EducationUSA Azerbaijan, and the American Councils for International Education, APA reports. More than 45 US universities and educational organizations were represented at the fair. More than 50 Azerbaijani alumni and employees of the US Embassy also took part in the event.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, participants had the opportunity to obtain firsthand information about undergraduate, graduate, and exchange programs offered by Yale, Harvard, Columbia, Carnegie Mellon University, and other prestigious American higher education institutions. During the opening ceremony, US Charg© d’Affaires in Azerbaijan Amy Carlon highlighted the growing interest among Azerbaijani students in pursuing higher education in the United States.
‘Higher education in the United States remains a preferred destination for Azerbaijani students, and in recent years we have witnessed significant growth in this area,’ Carlon stated.
The event also featured EducationUSA advising services, Virtual American Spaces, and exchange programs funded by the US government. Additionally, consular officers of the US Embassy conducted a special presentation on student visas, offering insights into the application process and addressing questions from prospective students and their families.
