‘TurAz Qartali-2026’ Joint Tactical Flight Exercise Progresses in Azerbaijan


Baku: ‘TurAz Qartali-2026’ joint tactical flight exercise, conducted as part of military cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Trkiye, is ongoing, as stated by the Ministry of Defense to APA.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the exercise plan includes various tasks focused on interoperability. A Sikorsky S-70 helicopter from the Turkish Air Forces executed electronic warfare measures, successfully neutralizing ground-based electronic assets of a simulated enemy. Meanwhile, a Mi-17 helicopter from the Azerbaijani Air Forces efficiently performed tasks involving the detection and destruction of simulated targets.



The exercise’s primary goals are to ensure interoperability between the two nations’ Air Forces, improve the professionalism of military personnel, and foster the exchange of mutual experiences.
