Baku: Trkiye has announced plans for a comprehensive transformation in its building sector, according to Hseyin Namik Sandik§i, a representative from the Turkish Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change. Sandik§i made this announcement during a roundtable on Building Energy Performance Certification and Digital Building Passports, which was part of the Baku Climate Action Week 2026.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Trkiye has been diligently working for many years to transform the building sector and improve relevant legislation. The Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change is spearheading efforts to implement these transformative changes. The goal is to enhance the energy efficiency of buildings, a cooperative effort that Trkiye began in Azerbaijan and has been successfully continuing with other partners such as Oman, Kyrgyzstan, and Somalia.
