Baku: Speaker of Azerbaijan’s Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova chaired the General Debate held as part of the 152nd Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU). The debate featured various speakers from around the world who shared their insights on the topics discussed.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the General Debate included remarks by the Speaker of the Iraqi Council of Representatives Haibat Hamad Abbas Al-Halbousi, the Speaker of the Australian House of Representatives Dugald Milton Dick, and the Speaker of Niger’s Advisory Council Mamoudu Harouna Djingarey. Other notable speakers included the Speaker of the Armenian Parliament Alen Simonyan, the Chairperson of the National Assembly of Nepalese Narayan Prasad Dahal, the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of South Africa Angela Thokozile Didiza, and the Speaker of the Palestinian National Council Rawhi Fattoh. These leaders expressed their views on the topics discussed at the assembly.
The 152nd IPU Assembly provided a platform for parliamentary leaders to engage in dialogue and share perspectives on pressing global issues.
