According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Speaker Sahiba Gafarova noted with satisfaction that the guest had visited Azerbaijan’s liberated territories during his trip to the country as a deputy in 2022, and expressed confidence that the reconstruction work carried out there would leave a deep impression on the guests during this visit as well.

He noted that President Ilham Aliyev’s visit to Slovakia in December 2025 was of great importance as the Azerbaijani President’s first official visit to Slovakia.
During the meeting, the guest shared his views on the prospects for the development of relations between the two countries in the fields of economy, education, culture, defense industry, energy security, and other areas.
Following the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the National Council of the Slovak Republic.
