Baku: SOCAR hosted an event titled ‘The Power of Partnership through Communication and Collaboration: Women Shaping the Future of Energy.’ The event gathered SOCAR’s female executives and members of the Women in Energy Association visiting Azerbaijan. Notable speakers included Aygun Huseynova, SOCAR’s Executive Director for Communications, SOCAR Vice President Arzu Javadova, and Andrea Panzel, Chair of the Women in Energy Association. They emphasized the crucial contributions women make to the energy sector.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the event featured presentations by female representatives from various divisions within SOCAR. These presentations offered insights into SOCAR’s activities in areas such as communications, strategic partnerships, exploration, development and production, human capital development, inclusivity, integrated gas strategy, and digital transformation. Additionally, the Women in Energy Association shared a presentation on their objectives and activities.
The event also included a visit to SOCAR’s Head Office, where attendees explored the Azerbaijan Oil exhibition and the Geophysics and Geology Department. Here, they were introduced to next-generation equipment that enhances seismic exploration accuracy, ensures safe operations under high-pressure conditions, and enables real-time well management. The Women in Energy Association representatives are also scheduled to visit Oil Rocks, a pioneering offshore oil production complex, highlighting its significance in Azerbaijan’s energy sector development.
