Baku: “I highly appreciate all initiatives by President Ilham Aliyev and Azerbaijan aimed at resolving the existing problems in the region through diplomatic means,” President of the Slovak Republic Peter Pellegrini said in a joint press statement with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Shusha, APA reports.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Pellegrini emphasized the importance of diplomacy over military action in addressing regional conflicts. He highlighted that security and peace hold significant importance for Slovakia. The Slovak president expressed his appreciation for Azerbaijan’s diplomatic efforts, whether related to the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine or the complex challenges in the Middle East.
President Pellegrini stressed that European nations should prioritize diplomatic solutions over military rearmament and funding ongoing wars. He outlined Slovakia’s vision of removing war from the continent to refocus on the development of regions with growth potential.
