Baku: The biometric technology of the SIMA digital signature will be applied during the upcoming housing sales conducted by the Mortgage and Credit Guarantee Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan (MCGF) under its rental mechanism.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, under the new approach, citizens will be able to confirm their applications during the rental housing selection process not with passwords or other verification methods, but only through the facial recognition functionality of ‘SIMA Imza’. This method has been introduced to ensure security and transparency during the selection process and to prevent third parties from interfering on behalf of applicants. With biometric identification, every confirmation is carried out directly with the participation of the applicant.
SIMA Signature is a next-generation digital signature developed by ‘AzInTelecom’ LLC, a company within AZCON Holding. The solution enables users to sign documents and applications quickly, anytime and anywhere, without the need for a physical token. Notably, the SIMA digital signature can be obtained free of charge through the mobile application without the need to visit a service center.
