Moscow: A man armed with a shovel attacked people at a church in Moscow, APA’s Russia bureau reports. The incident took place in Moscow’s Maryino district, where the man targeted individuals leaving the church and also struck an ambulance worker on the head with the shovel.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the ambulance worker was hospitalized in serious condition following the attack. The attacker was subsequently shot dead by a person who had come to the church. The individual who used the firearm was detained by the police.
Preliminary information indicates that the man who carried out the shovel attack had been registered at a psychiatric clinic.
