Baku: Restoration work is being carried out in the villages of Gazakh returned to Azerbaijan, APA reports. This development was reflected in the ‘Report on the activities of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2025,’ discussed at today’s session of the Milli Majlis.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the villages of Baghanis Ayrim, Ashaghi Askipara, Kheyrimli, and Gizilhajili of the Gazakh district, which had been under Armenia’s occupation for 30 years, were returned to Azerbaijan based on the agreement of the State Commission on the delimitation of the Azerbaijan-Armenia border. As a result, 6.5 km² of territory was returned to Azerbaijan, and a 12.7 km-long border line was determined as part of the delimitation process.
Currently, restoration work is being carried out in these villages.
