Public Program at Baku Seaside Boulevard Marks Start of WUF13 Festival


Baku: A ‘Public Program’ has been organized at the Baku Seaside Boulevard within the framework of the 13th Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13), which will be held in Baku on May 17-22, APA reports. The event aims to strengthen social solidarity in the urban environment and promote public participation, as stated by Eldar Rasulov, Chief Manager for Content and Media Relations of the WUF13 Azerbaijan Operations Company.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Rasulov emphasized that the issues surrounding social solidarity and public participation will be discussed during WUF13. He highlighted the significance of the forum, noting that more than 32,000 participants from 180 countries have registered, marking the importance of this event for many individuals.



Rasulov also mentioned that the WUF13 Festival had been organized in various cities, including Guba, Lankaran, Gabala, Sheki, Mingachevir, Ganja, Khankendi, and Sumgayit, to raise public awareness about the event. These festivals attracted nearly 90,000 participants, indicating a strong interest and support for the upcoming forum.



The event also featured a concert program with performances by well-known art representatives, adding a cultural dimension to the gathering. The festival programs across the country are part of the efforts to inform the public about the 13th Session of the World Urban Forum, which promises to address key urban issues and engage a global audience.
