President’s Special Representative Reports 28,000 Residents in Khankendi

Baku: Elchin Yusubov, the Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Khankendi and the Aghdara and Khojaly districts, announced that 28,000 people currently live, work, and study in Khankendi. This development was shared with representatives of the diplomatic corps during a briefing about the city’s restoration and reconstruction efforts.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Yusubov emphasized that large-scale reconstruction projects are in progress in Khankendi. The briefing highlighted that the first group of residents has already returned to the city, as well as the nearby village of Karkijahan. These projects signify a significant step forward in the redevelopment of the region.

Yusubov further mentioned that representatives of the diplomatic corps are being informed about the ongoing redevelopment and construction activities in Khankendi, showcasing the government’s commitment to revitalize the area.
