Tashkent: The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, received Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade, Chairman of the Muslims Board of the Caucasus, during his visit to Uzbekistan for the First International Islamic Civilization Forum, as reported by the Uzbekistan National News Agency (UZA).
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the President expressed his gratitude for the book ‘The Highest Point of Brotherhood and Alliance’, which was presented by Sheikhulislam Pashazade. The book highlights the joint efforts of the leaders of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan. During their meeting, discussions focused on strengthening interethnic harmony, promoting religious tolerance, and enhancing the spiritual education of young people.
The President of Uzbekistan proposed initiatives to elevate cultural and educational cooperation between the two countries. The discussions included leveraging scientific advancements in digital platforms and interactive educational tools to communicate the humanistic values of Islam to young audiences.
At the conclusion of the meeting, President Mirziyoyev awarded Allahshukur Pashazade the Order of ‘El-Yurt Hurmati’ in recognition of his significant contributions to the scholarship of the Muslim world.
