Yerevan: ‘Peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia is a reality,’ said President Ilham Aliyev in his video address at the European Political Community summit held in Armenia, APA reports.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev highlighted the discussions held during President Costa’s visit to Azerbaijan less than two months ago. They discussed President Aliyev’s participation in the summit and agreed on a video format. He also shared insights from his meeting with President Costa and President von der Leyen in Tirana a year ago, where they sought his opinion on hosting the May 2026 Summit in Armenia, which he supported. In return, President Aliyev proposed hosting one of the subsequent summits in Azerbaijan to maintain balance, a proposal that was accepted. He extended an invitation to the members of the European Political Community to visit Azerbaijan in May 2028, noting that Armenia supported their candidacy. This support, he emphasized, is a clear indication of the reality of peace between the two nations.
