Garadagh: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has officially inaugurated a new paper and hygiene products manufacturing facility owned by ‘Fabriora Group’ Limited Liability Company (LLC) in the Garadagh district.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the facility was introduced to the President by Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov and the founder of ‘Fabriora Group’ LLC, Ibrahim Uygur. This new enterprise will produce paper and hygiene products, including baby diapers, various wipes, and detergents. The facility will utilize modern, automated production technologies sourced from Germany, Italy, and Trkiye, and will operate over an expansive area of nearly 11 hectares.
The facility plans to utilize both domestic raw materials and imported supplies in its production processes. In addition to satisfying domestic needs, the products will also be exported to international markets such as Georgia, Kazakhstan, Russia, and several Middle Eastern countries. The venture is anticipated to provide stable employment opportunities for 240 individuals.
This enterprise was acquired through an investment competition conducted by the State Service on Property Issues under the Ministry of Economy. The project entails a total investment of AZN 27 million. Additionally, ‘Fabriora Group’ LLC received exemptions valued at AZN 1 million from VAT and customs duties on imported equipment, based on an investment promotion document.
Under President Ilham Aliyev’s leadership, one of the pivotal strategies in Azerbaijan’s economic policy is enhancing the nation’s industrial capabilities and fostering competitive manufacturing. The ongoing industrialization efforts have resulted in the development of more sustainable production and supply chains within the country. Expanding local production not only caters to domestic demands and lowers import reliance but also boosts the presence of Azerbaijani products in foreign markets.
