Baku: President Ilham Aliyev emphasized the importance of rebuilding and revitalizing liberated territories during his speech at the opening ceremony of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) held in Baku. “This is how the true owners of the land behave – they build, create and revive,” he stated, as reported by APA.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev highlighted the efforts of over 85,000 Azerbaijanis who have returned to live in territories liberated from occupation. He stressed that ensuring their employment remains a primary focus of the government. Before constructing essential infrastructure such as apartments, schools, and hospitals, the President noted the necessity of clearing the areas of mines. He also mentioned the establishment of numerous industrial zones to facilitate the rapid return of hundreds of thousands of people previously displaced from their native lands.
