According to Azeri-Press news agency, President Ilham Aliyev has announced plans to increase trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Cambodia following a visit from the Cambodian Prime Minister, Hun Manet.
President Aliyev highlighted the historical educational ties between the two countries, noting that many Cambodian students studied in Azerbaijan during the Soviet era. He expressed a desire to revive this tradition, which could further strengthen bilateral relations. Additionally, President Aliyev mentioned Cambodia’s interest in Azerbaijan’s ASAN public service system, suggesting that this could also enhance cooperation between the nations.
